The actor replied to B.C. Premier David Eby’s social media post announcing the private celebration saying, “This is a gigantic honour and dream come true. 🇨🇦 Thank you.”
Even though it was a whirlwind visit to the province, Reynolds said how much he loves being there even for a short time to recharge his batteries.
The actor posted a photo with the mountains and ocean as a backdrop to Threads, writing: “24 hours home in Vancouver feels better than 100 hours of vacation.”

During his time in B.C. this week, Reynolds told the Vancouver Sun that he and his wife Blake Lively have been thinking of making Vancouver home for their family. “I miss home,” he said of filming the “Deadpool” sequel in England instead of Vancouver like he had been hoping for.
The humanitarian couple gives back to causes close to the heart of B.C., including North American food banks, Covenant House Vancouver and Water First, which helps provide Indigenous Canadians with clean water.
