Co-founder of Water.org, Matt Damon, urges donors to give on the global day for giving, Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28 and their donations will be matched.
Water.org said in a statement that today donors can “change twice as many lives with safe water and the health, hope and bright futures that can flow from it.”
Damon added in a video message that, “It’s Giving Tuesday, and a day to give. Give safe water today and empower people living in poverty with lasting access to the safe water their families need to survive and thrive.”
Water.org has helped over 60 million people around the world to “turn on a tap and safely use a toilet because small, affordable loans empowered them to get access to safe water and sanitation at home.”
The charity does work in 11 countries around the world to deal with the global water crisis and invites donors to help make an impact by giving what they can at Water.org.
The actor has also said: “Access to water is access to education, access to work, access above all to the kind of future we want for our own families and all the members of our human family.”
