Gallery: Ones To Watch At Robert Redford’s 2024 Sundance Film Festival

Founder of the Sundance Film Festival, Robert Redford is one to watch himself with his longtime support of animal rights. Along with his support of independent filmmakers, another reason we love Redford is that he launched the Foundation to Protect New Mexico Wildlife which helps to keep horses out of slaughterhouses.

At the 2024 festival, there are a number of actors and films to watch out for with their ties to PETA or their environmental themes.

Plus, the stars are visiting the IMDb Portrait Studio at Acura House of Energy where the all-electric 2024 Acura ZDX Type S performance SUV is featured — see the gallery below.

This year, we’re watching out for:

Jesse Eisenberg and his two films “A Real Pain” — which he wrote, directed and stars in, along with “Succession” star Kieran Culkin — and his starring role in “Sasquatch Sunset”. We love Eisenberg for his incredible acting and filmmaking talent, but also because he fights for animal rights.

The actor celebrated a vegan Thanksgiving with his family, telling Conan O’Brien all about it in recent years.

Another one to watch at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival is actress Saoirse Ronan in “The Outrun”.

Ronan’s “Ladybird” previously tied for the the PETA Oscar honouring the best animal-friendly films and stars of 2017. Ronan has spoken out in favour of closing Irish fur farms. What’s not to love?

“Twilight” star Kristen Stewart told Jay Leno she would never wear real fur — that’s reason enough to be on our list of ones to watch at Sundance this year. This year, look out for Stewart’s “Love Lies Bleeding”, in which she plays a gym manager who gets involved with a bodybuilder played by Katy O’Brian.

She also stars in “Love Me”, about a boy that falls in love with a satellite after the extinction of humans.

Stewart is also being feted at this year’s festival being honoured with the Visionary Award, after previously releasing “Adventureland” and “The Runaways” at Sundance.

Stay tuned as we post more coverage of ones to watch at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
